If your vehicle was not sold with the upgraded sound system you will need to cut the sheet metal cowl area to install these speaker pots. We provide a template with each pair of pots to help assist the installer in cutting and installing of the pot. These need to be recessed into the sheet metal cowl located behind the kick panel. Your speaker then mounts inside the recessed cavity of the speaker pot. We suggest using a 5.25″ speaker. We also suggest that the installer fit a small, maybe 3″ sized square pad of sound deadening material in the rear portion of the speaker pot to improve acoustics of the install. These speaker pots are a really fine way to add sound to your vehicle without destroying the cars interior. Use in conjunction with our RF107, RF109, or RF111 kick panels for that factory look.
